This is your chance to tell the story of your Recycling Superhero.

Dear Friends,
Recycling presents a real challenge in Gotham City. Together we generate 24,000,000 pounds of waste a day. The good news is that more than a third of that can be recycled, now, today! Right here! And Superheros will be able to recycle even more in the future. The bad news is that right now we are only recycling half of what can be recycled. The rest is still being wasted in landfills and incinerators. There are ordinary folks who recycle their metal, glass, and plastic in the blue bin, and their paper and cardboard in the green bin. There are everyday heroes who do recycling jobs. Some recyclers work on trucks, some collect bottles and cans. And then there are the recycling superheros. This is the place for you to tell their story.
This picture is what it looks like to recycling superheros flying 400 mph, just 2.9 seconds before setting foot in Gotham City for the first time. The frst stop is the top of the Empire State Building (where this picture was taken.) And the next stop... well you tell me.

Your story doesn't have to be 100% true. In Gotham City it's okay to exaggerate if you're making a good point. Besides, this is the recycling superhero contest. The point is to encourage people to recycle. So the story better be good or nobody will read it. Get the point?
So here's my promise to you. If you write a story and it's good, I'll keep it up on the website. The best story with the best recycling superhero picture will win a prize. Not a big prize, just a prize. So get to work.
Thanks for Recycling,
Michael
